The goal of the application is to offer visitors an end-to-end experience, where they not only buy and load a ticket in the application, but mainly thanks to it they get the maximum experience from the visit. After all, the application literally accompanies them through the expositions.
Thanks to mobile audio guides is the time when we were just passing between showcases, definitively gone. Now you can read or listen to interesting facts about each exhibit, which are added directly to the application by the experts of the National Museum. Additionally, a guided tour will be available for each of the four newly opened expositions. In total, more than 8 hours of spoken word in Czech and English are ready for launch. Other language mutations are also expected in the future.

Visitors can also enjoy themselves in advance, in the peace of home, not only by themselves plan the routethat best suits his interests and time possibilities, but also to proceed at his own pace. In short, the application adapts to its needs, which will surely be appreciated by teachers who are going to the museum with students.
“We promised the public that after the construction reconstruction of the National Museum, we will continue the digital reconstruction, communicate with visitors using the latest technology, expand the experience of visiting exhibitions and improve the orientation of our buildings. The app launched today is a significant step towards fulfilling that promise,”says Director General of the National Museum Michal Lukeš.
A very popular and rapidly emerging functionality is AR, or Augmented Realitythat gives the opportunity to see and experience exhibits in a real environment. Simply point your mobile phone at the more than 22-meter-long skeleton of a baleen mouse hanging from the ceiling of the museum, and the app instantly envelops it with flesh and skin, giving you the impression that you are in the middle of the ocean. The augmented reality plugin that we integrated into the application was created by More.is.more studio. This is the first implementation of this type in the Czech Republic and a unique collaboration between two technology companies.

“Developing an app that connects history with the latest technological trends has been both a joy and a challenge,”says Lukáš Strnadel, our CEO of Futured. One of the challenges mentioned was, for example, indoor navigationwhich significantly facilitates orientation in space and guides the visitor along the routes he prefers. “Indoor navigation works on the so-called. BLE (Bluetooth Low-Energy) Beacon, which is a technology utilizing low-power Bluetooth transmitters to transmit information to mobile devices. These small transmitters, placed in designated locations, allow users to be located even without GPS. There are more than a thousand of them distributed around the building, and this is the largest implementation in the Czech Republic.”adds Luke.
One of the priorities was also to facilitate accessibilitywhich makes it easier to use, for example, for the elderly by enlarging the text or for people with impaired vision, hearing, cognition and movement.
The great added value of the application then is that it is ready for expansion to other buildings that fall under the National Museum, such as the Czech Museum of Music or the Náprsko Museum, as well as administration, thanks to which the National Museum team can independently manage and update content for visitors.
The inspiration for the application was, for example, the Rijskmuseum in the Netherlands, the Art Institute of Chicago or the American Museum of Natural History and MoMA in New York.
From March 31, 2022, visitors can download the free app for how to iOS, thanks Android device.
We can create a successful application for you as well.
