How do you take 70 years of ISIC card tradition and create an app that works for students worldwide? GTS Alive, the official ISIC issuer in the Czech Republic and a member of GTS Alive Group operating in dozens of countries, needed a global solution. A digital student card accepted by transport providers and retailers, with room for new features like Alive App Key for building access. The app needed to be ready to grow wherever the company and students need it to.
From the first design, we've been working with the GTS Alive team to make the app do exactly what makes students' lives easier. They'll find not only a digital ISIC card valid for transport and discount providers, a map of nearby discounts by location, competitions, but also access to travel insurance. We've been developing the app from scratch, constantly adding new features and improving it. We're proud of its redesign and latest innovations: we launched Alive App Key, which lets students unlock school doors with their phone, and we're preparing right-to-left language support for Arabic markets.
The Czech Republic has long been the country with the widest range of student benefits and the highest number of ISIC cards issued in the world. But Alive App is already being used by students in other countries – and their number keeps growing. Forgotten card at home? Can't happen. Plastic card? Not necessary. Students have everything at hand and the app reminds them when expiration is approaching. One less worry.
