We've created an app that saves portions of food every day from being thrown away and gives them a chance to get on the plate. A digital bridge between good food and responsible consumption.
Every day thousands of servings end up in restaurant baskets that are not enough to sell. Uneaten came in 2019 with the idea of saving this dish. In order for the application to cope with the growing appetite of users, it was necessary to redesign the entire concept.
We revamped the app from the ground up, adding features users were hungry for, such as a cart that allowed food from multiple businesses to be sampled at the same time — a minor change that required a complete redesign of the data in the backend. For restaurants, we have prepared a mobile module with which they could manage their menu directly on set without having to leave the guests. We've also added Apple Pay for faster checkout. And during the pandemic, we worked with logistics service DODO in a flash, serving salvaged food to customers' doors.
In 2020, when our work on the application ended, it steadily held in the top 5 rankings of the App Store and Google Play. Even then, thanks to her, more than 300 kg of food was saved per week. Uneaten has become the solution in the fight against waste. In 2022, Nesnězeno merged with Hungarian platform Munch — together they have saved millions of servings in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.

We have greatly simplified the basket so that it can be ordered right from several establishments at once. This necessitated a major restructuring of the data in the backend solution.

Within the application, we added a module for enterprises that allowed to manage the offer away from the computer, directly on mobile devices. And add a product to us in a few clicks — and take a picture of it right away.
